This farm is a certified Treasure Forest in the state of Alabama. The owners have gone to great lengths to cultivate 1187 acres for hunting and wildlife. The woods in some areas have been thinned for bobwhite quail and Egyptian wheat, brown top, pearl millet, bi color lespedeza, and grain sorghum have been planted late summer and early fall to prepare for a good bird hunting season. In the fall wheat, oats, rye, and clover attract the trophy bucks which are every hunters dream. Alabama has always had a great supply of whitetail deer and this farm has more than its share. The all weather deer stands placed through out are elevated huts and are very spacious. Turkey is one of the most challenging game birds in the world to hunt because of its keen sense of hearing and unbelievable eyesight, but this farm has turkey year after year. Crimson clover is planted to attract them but the attraction is really the land itself. Just walking through the woods and creeks is enjoyable. Please read about Jack Roush’s turkey hunting visit on the testimony page. This farm has something year round especially with the mature catfish pond and the bass and bream lake. There are beautiful pastures for horses with riding trails and good roads throughout the property.
